Nokia N8

Truely Smart
The Nokia N8 may just turn out to be the right cure for Nokia smartphone with sleek hardware, an industry-leading camera and stuff like HDMI port and USB-On-the-Go.

Design
Nokia N8 is pretty big in size though not uncomfortable. A touchscreen bar, it doesn't have the sex appeal of an iPhone but has a full-metal chassis and premium build - not to mention all those unusual colors like green, blue, orange, Dark Grey and Silver it's available in. Sleek aluminum unibody and a large 3.5 inch AMOLED touchscreen up front - there's nothing to dislike about the N8. You will notice the video-call camera in the upper right corner above the display and the microphone and the menu key below it. Tapered sides and sloping top and bottom make the handset quite comfortable to handle.

Connectivity
Excellent all-around connectivity is provided by the N8. All kinds of network connectivity options are at your disposal - GPRS, EDGE and 3G with HSPA (10.2 Mbps HSDPA and 2.0 Mbps HSUPA). There will be a 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD card slot. The connectivity is rounded off by Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n and USB on the go. An HDMI will come in handy with extensive video codec support. Web browser is great with multi touch and flash support. A-GPS with Ovi Maps are further additions.

Multimedia
A 12MP autofocus camera with xenon flash and 720p video recording and features like mechanical shutter, ND filter, geo-tagging and face detection it will blow away the shutterbugs. N8 also supports social networking and mobile entertainment. Stereo FM radio with RDS and Visual radio supports the media player that gives brilliant audio and video output. You can stay connected to email, access millions of tracks through Ovi Music, and download apps and games from the Ovi Store.

Cons
Battery is not user-replaceable.

Verdict
The Nokia N8 is the best Nokia has to offer. The camera puts the Nokia N8 in a class of its own and changes the nature of the competition altogether. The N8 puts the Nseries back to the top where it belongs.
