This is beginning to get ridiculous - we have yet another release date for the Nokia X6. And we hope this one is final, at least for the UK and Finland. The X6 was supposed to launch with a Rihanna concert on the 16th but now the latest official word is that it will be in stores this week.
For the UK, the Nokia X6 will be available exclusively at Phones 4U stores for Orange UK starting this Friday. It comes free on a 35 pounds per month contract or if your current phone is an Nseries handset and you're willing to part ways with it - the monthly tax becomes 25 pounds.
Or you can head to the Nokia UK online shop and preorder the Nokia X6 for 449 pounds (747 US dollars or 498 euro) and get it SIM-free. Expansys used to have it on preorder for 530 pounds, though they've pulled it from their site.
The Nokia X6 is coming to Finland this week too, though that's all the details currently available. More countries will soon follow suite and get the X6. For example, the Nokia Germany online store has the X6 for 580 euro on preorder with estimated shipping date 1st of December. That price is quite a bit higher and it hasn't changed since we first spotted it on the Nokia Germany Shop page, so we expect it to fall when the handset becomes available.
All these listed prices of course include the 1-year Comes With Music subscription, which means that you can download music from the Nokia Music Store for free (excluding data charges) and keep the songs after that 1-year period runs out. Oh, and the Nokia X6 comes with the WH-500 headphones and 32GB of builtin memory, making it an audiophile's dream.
