Nokia 500

This past few months Nokia is launching new phones every 2-3 weeks (I think), and now they would again release a new smartphone. The Nokia 500. With it's name you might think that its not a smartphone, but it is. It's a new smartphone that Nokia would be selling. It is has the all new Symbian Anna and has a 1GHz powerful processor mixed with Wi-Fi  that would make browsing the web much smoother.

Based from my perspective I think this is an awesome looking smartphone. The fun thing about this phone is that it would have 3 interchangeable cover.  I'm not sure though if you are going to be allowed to choose those 3 different colored covers.

This smartphone is also built for social networking. Email and Social Network is integrated straight out of the box.

It would also have a Fully Customisable Home Screen, The Best Apps and also Nokia Free Ovi Navigation which I think is very useful. Nokia is also the only company that gives you this feature (Free Navigation).

As to price and release info is not yet available.

Xperia X10 (Upgrade to Android 2.3)

The Sony Ericsson would be releasing the new software upgrade for Xperia X10 this friday. It would now have the Gingerbread upgrade (Android 2.3). Apparently you would be getting a notification if the new software is available for upgrade. The software upgrade can only be installed using a computer and PC Companion Software.

Nokia and Microsoft Event on the 17th of August

Nokia and Microsoft would hold an event on August 17, where they are expected to report about the result of their joint project. Everyone expecting a new Nokia phone featuring the Windows Phone Operating System. The  companies also promised an evening to remember. As a Nokia fan I'm not really sure if this is the way Nokia should go. I think their future lies on Meego. They should develop devices like the new Nokia N9 which runs on Meego and I think is the most awesome device Nokia had made.

Nokia N8 (First Impressions)

I've only tested the Nokia N8 for about a day now, and as far as I think, it's surpassing my expectations. The only thing that bothers me about this phone is it's delayed between choosing the 3 different home screens. It has a lag that is very noticeable, but when I started getting used to it. I think it's not that bad. The great resolution of the screen takes your awareness about the lag. Here's my 3 home screen.

Sorry for the background lol. I've intentionally used wallpapers so that you could notice the great resolution of the Nokia N8. You might think because of the icons that I have Symbian Anna installed but nope. That is just the theme that I've downloaded.

The next thing that I've tested is it's power. On how many apps can it open before it starts to lag. It turns out that you can simultaneously run up to 11 apps. I tried to run the 12th but after I've opened it. It starts to have a lag.

Here are some of the Apps that I've downloaded for FREE!! and all of them are Full Versions. Take that iPhone users. Peace! =)

Here's my two fav. game. Both of them are free and can be downloaded through Ovi Store.

Galaxy on Fire

Need For Speed Shift

Lastly here's my app working on Nokia N8. You can download it here.

I'm going to post more about this Nokia N8 in the coming days!
